Opening Day – December 9th
Opening day is a very special event in all mountain communities having the fortune of great snow and lifts. For most locals, skiing is our grand reason for living here and opening day resonates the rationale for our existence. Others make a pilgrimage to these special places for opening days.
When living in Calgary I keenly partook in several opening days at a number of resorts. None have been as rewarding as Fernie.
On opening day in Fernie you can expect powder of the finest quality and in abundance. You just have to be here to enjoy it. See you on December 9th!
