Fernie Freeskiing Competition
 Fernie’s annual Freeskiing Competition at Fernie Alpine Resort March will see some of the world’s best freeskiers will challenge Fernie’s renown terrain in one of the most intense and exciting ski events in Western Canada.
Not for the faint of heart, Freeskiing is known as an aggressive and highly technical discipline. The sport was born in North America in the 1980’s and focuses on challenging, off-piste mountain terrain. Freeskiers are judged based on their technique, line, control and aggressiveness – and the tougher their line, the more points they earn.
