Angie and I got up to the hill late, but it didn’t matter. The snow was still there. A few runs on the old side in Cedar Bowl got us warmed up, but left us wondering about the new side. A fortuitous encounter with the “Free Heel Friday” telemark posse convinced us to go.
Up in the terrain park we watched boarders hucking themselves off rails and jumps with what can only be described as youthful abandon. The upper terrain park on Falling Star has really been improved as of late. There’s a variety of kickers, banks and rails that’ll match any level of courage.
After the terrain park we toured through Curry Bowl just for fun and found the snow up high in good shape. Lower down some of the runs are variable, but improving.
Quote of the day:
“Just lean back. Nothing bad ever happened in the back seat.”
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
