This morning I was up early and raring to hit the hill. I’d watched the flakes falling late yesterday and knew there'd be more freshies today. Well, it wasn’t knee deep powder today, but I still had one of the nicest runs I’ve had all week this morning.
I was in line early with J.D. and some fast skiing rewarded us with second chair on Bear. Unfortunately for J.D. he couldn’t join me for my run down North Ridge as he had to go searching for a new basket for his pole.
I say unfortunate because North Ridge had about 5cm of nice cream cheese powder sitting on top of last night’s groom and it was just the most amazing thing to rip down. I had virtually first tracks all the way down to the Boom chair. Getting seconds only when Sean passed me at the bottom of North Ridge.
We had some nice runs on Cedar Ridge and K.C. Chutes and a fun run down Kangaroo that found me on my butt in the trees just moments after grabbing the picture of Sean below.
Quote of the day:
“That’s going to be the run of the day, I think.”
